JPEG DAO February Wrap Up
This past month has been a busy one for JPEG. It began with the creation of the JPEG Workshops. With so many new members and artists the need for guidance quickly rose. The community banded together to share their collected knowledge. This idea appealed greatly to newcomers and anyone who wanted to learn from experienced members. The Workshops succeeded and continues to be a resource that will grow and evolve over the years. Then, partnerships with Beer Token and Action Token began, with more collaborations to come. Continuing on this high, the NFTree project launched with resounding success and acres of trees bought already!
With all these projects came great responsibility. It became clear that Core Roles needed forming, so applicants, who are knowledgeable members of the community, were voted in. These people had time and passion to lead the DAO and keep projects going. These include 5 Roles:
The Collector- LumenJack- Lead member drops and other NFT sales.
The Utility Driver- Bgold- Lead entertainment, liquidity, rewards, and governance experiences offered to our NFT owners.
The Brand Creator- Luxmedia- Drive a cohesive message and style across merchandise, marketing, branding, website, visual design, and lore.
The Architect- Slackerboi- Design our tech solutions, recruit devs, and build high priority needs. This role is a support function, and while having a vision is important, must be responsive to new committee needs.
The Program Lead- Fig- Drive the completion of projects, document solutions, delegate tasks, and create institutional knowledge within the DAO. Lead our migration to new tools on an as needed basis. This is a support role that must carefully balance the need for project management & process with the inherent disorder of pseudo volunteers working collaboratively with strangers around the world.
These roles went into effect Feb 14th with a limit of 3 months for each candidate. JPEG DAO will host a voice chat Feb 20th at 3pm EST Introducing Core Leaders on Discord!
